Food Intolerance

Whilst most adults are aware of the existence of food allergy and intolerance, many are unaware of the specific differences between the two, and the counteractive measures required in order to minimise and control the symptoms. It has perhaps become more common for people to refer to being allergic to certain food types, when, in fact, statistics reflect that are more likely to suffer from intolerance than genuine allergy. We help you identify what foods to avoid with our simple, colour coded report with full lifetime, unlimited support from our UK team to help you on your road to recovery.

Food intolerance and allergy testing

Guidelines for patients with allergy and toxicity problems

Allergic food may not necessarily show allergy symptoms due to eating one item of allergic food or drink. It may require two, three or even four items at one meal to stimulate a serious reaction. The reaction may take minutes or several hours, dependent upon which organs of the body are reacting. Toxic foods do not usually produce a noticeable reaction, they build up gradually in the body, sometimes over many years, until the body cannot accept any more and the patient becomes seriously ill, such as in Arthritis, Diabetes and Liver complaints. The reaction to allergies varies for each patient and for each type of food or drink. When a patient removes a very toxic food such as coffee from the diet, withdrawal symptoms may occur, such as pain in the abdomen or a desire for the stimulant. Gluten allergy in wheat, barley and oats means that the patient cannot eat bread, cakes, pastries, biscuits, porridge, packaged and tinned soups containing wheat, pizza, spaghetti, macaroni and sausages.
